Title 13 PLANNING AND ZONING REGULATIONS
Chapter 13.12 AIRPORT APPROACH ZONES*
13.12.080 Permits.
Before any nonconforming structure or trees may be replaced, substantially
altered or repaired, rebuilt, allowed to grow higher, or replanted, a permit
must be secured from the Zoning Administrator. Applications for approvals
granted pursuant to this Chapter shall be made in accordance with the
requirements of Chapter 18.10, Level V. No permit shall be granted that would
allow the establishment or creation of an airport hazard or permit a
nonconforming structure or tree or nonconforming use to be made or become higher
or become a greater hazard to air navigation than it was on February 3, 1964, or
than it is when the application for a permit is made. Except as provided herein,
all applications for permits shall be granted. No such permit shall be required
to make maintenance repairs to or to replace parts of existing structures which
do not enlarge or increase the height of the existing structure. (Ord. 938,
2/3/64; 3433, 8/23/83)
