A. "Council" means the council of the county of Maui.

B. "Director" mens the director of human concerns of the county of Maui.

C. "Experimental and demonstration housing projects" means those housing projects approved under the provisions of Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 46-15.

D. "Mayor" means the mayor of the county of Maui, or any person lawfully exercising the powers and duties of the mayor.

E. "Plans and specifications" means the plans and specifications for experimental and demonstration housing projects submitted to the director for approval. (Ord. 1296 § 4 (part), 1983)

Site approval, as provided by law, shall be secured prior to approval of plans and specifications. (Ord. 1296 § 4 (part), 1983)

The director shall approve, disapprove, or modify proposed plans and specifications. Any approved plans and specifications shall be submitted to the council for its approval. After approval by the council, the plans and specifications shall constitute the standards for that particular project. (Ord. 1296 § 4 (part), 1983)

The powers and duties set forth in this chapter are to intended to limit or modify the powers and duties set forth in Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 46-15 in its present form or as it may hereafter be modified. (Ord. 1296 § 4 (part), 1983)
