An owner of a dog or cat, or any person authorized in writing to act on behalf of an owner, may request the animal shelter during business hours to collect the owner’s dog or cat for sale or disposal in accordance with law. (Ord. 1177 § 1 (part), 1981)

Prior to or at the time of collection of a dog or cat, a service charge as set forth in the annual budget ordinance shall be paid for the collection service. It shall be the responsibility of the person requesting the collection service to deliver the dog or cat in a clean and sanitary manner. (Ord. 3290 § 1, 2005: Ord. 1177 § 1 (part), 1981)
