Chapter 2.40 OTHER BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, COMMITTEES AND AGENCIES*

2.40.020 Subdivision engineering standards committee.

2.40.030 Maui County outdoor lighting standards committee.

There is established a Maui County outdoor lighting standards committee as provided by law. (Ord. 3430 § 1, 2007: Ord. 1859 § 6 (part), 1989)

2.40.040 Traffic safety council.

There is established a traffic safety council as provided by law. (See section 286-6 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes and chapter 2.36 of this code.) (Ord. 1859 § 6 (part), 1989)

2.40.050 Maui redevelopment agency.

There is established a Maui redevelopment agency as provided by law. (See section 53-2 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes.) (Ord. 1859 § 6 (part), 1989)

2.40.060 Pension board.

A. Establishment. There is established a pension board as provided by law.

B. Organization, Duties, and Function. The organization and the duties and functions of the pension board of the county shall be as provided by law, except that the board shall be attached to the department of finance, and the director of finance shall be ex-officio secretary and treasurer of the board. (See section 88-181 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes.) (Ord. 1859 § 6 (part), 1989)

2.40.070 Police officer, firefighter, and bandsperson pension board.

A. Establishment. There is established a police officer, firefighter, and bandsperson pension board as provided by law. (See section 88-153 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes.)

B. Organization, Duties, and Function. The organization and the duties and functions of the board of trustees of the police officer, firefighter, and bandsperson pension fund of the county shall be as provided by law, except that the board shall be attached to the department of finance, and the director of finance shall be ex-officio secretary and treasurer of the board. There is established a fire and public safety commission as provided by law. (Ord. 3099 § 1, 2002)
